 Sporting Memories Australia

Program Features

Aims to provide physical and mental health benefits as well as a sense of well-being within the community.
Provokes discussions, social engagement and a sense of community around the topic and interest of sport
In partnership with the Sporting Memories Network participants (generally over the age of 50, and many living with dementia) gather together to discuss various historic sporting events, participate in activities and share memories from past decades.

The SportsUnited Sporting Memories Australia program brings older adults together to talk about and remember sport. At Sporting Memories Australia sessions, everyone finds fun, friendship and increased well-being by being involved in enjoyable social and physical activities.

We regularly host Sporting Memories Australia sessions at a variety of locations and venues such as community centres and aged care settings. See below for our locations.

If you would like talk to us about establishing a Sporting Memories Australia group near you, or would like to become a volunteer at one of our current groups, either contact us on the form below, or via email [email protected].

We’d love to hear from you!
